Trail Building and Maintainence

October 2009-

The FVDRA was granted a paid crew from BCORMA this October to rebuild a few bridges, remove a log jamb on the lower bridge to the "Top Of The World" loop and open some lost trail we have not seen in 15 years.

The money granted to the club for this crew was due to the funds we submitted in the "Trail Pass Program" and BCORMA.

Update....

There first progectnwas a huge log jamb at the Texas Creek Bridge from the snow run-off last year.  The crew needed to cut away all the debris that would have taken the bridge out for with this years run-off.  This was a big job and the crew did an awesome job Due to there efforts we now will keep the "Top Of The World Loop" open for another year and not loose our bridge!

(Below is the Texas Creek Bridge)

BIG LOGS!

(Below is the upper bridge that was rebuilt)

We will keep you informed on the progress the crew is making.

Ps. Thank's Blaine and Troy for the great photo's

2010-

"Adopt-A-Trail"

We are planning to have an adopt a trail program for the FVDRA in 2010.

We will have Family's and Members join together to "adopt a trail" at Nickelmine.  They will open and maintain the trail next year.  We will as a club have " trail days" and work together as a club to open and maintain the trails together.

Each year the FVDRA opens aproximatley 80km of trail at Nickelmine.  The trails are not just there for us to ride there is alot of work throughout the year that goes into keeping the area open for free riding.

More info to come...........
